Tomasz Krzywkowski holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics as well as an Engineering degree in biotechnology. He has devoted a larger part of his academic practice towards the development of competitive methods for various translational applications. In a field of molecular diagnostics, genetics and genomics, Tomasz has published 10 scientific publications, 4 book chapters and submitted 2 European patent applications. During 7 years of research Tomasz participated in two European projects and developed multiple research and diagnostic systems, including: a microscopy-based platform for RNA biomarker detection in circulating tumor cells; a fluorescence-based system for direct detection of micro RNAs; a microscopy-based system for single cell level detection of viral RNA and DNA.
